What To Expect During Your First Acne Treatment
Acne Treatments are designed to exfoliate the skin, extract existing breakouts, and kill acne bacteria inside the pore. We’ll analyze the skin each time you come in for an appointment, but most treatments involve a mild chemical peel.
The peel is applied and will tingle for a minute or two. After a few minutes, the peel will self-neutralize and stop tingling. We’ll then perform extractions (think Dr. Pimple Popper but less painful!) to remove any existing breakouts. We’ll then use a Blue LED Light Therapy device on your skin—Blue LED Light kills acne bacteria inside the pore and reduces inflammation. This will help calm existing breakouts, and also prevent future breakouts! After 10-15 minutes of Blue LED Light on your skin, we’ll finish with a moisturizer and we’ll review your skincare routine and post-treatment instructions.
Acne Treatments take 30-45 minutes and are scheduled every two weeks until your skin is clear.
